MU Theatre (MU Színház – where MU stands forHungarian Underground) has been part of the cultural life of the 11th district (and the country) for over 20 years. As a presenting theatre, it gives space to theatre, dance, visual arts, music andliterature productions and artists. Within the building, a theater hall, a studio, a rehearsal room, an art gallery and a cafe operate on a daily basis. The Theatre is also devoted to training – each year, the MU Terminal gives opportunity to several young dancers to hone their skills, to familiarize with the methods of various choreographers and create their own productions in theatrical circumstances. Their initiative called MuLab is aimed at expanding and re-interpreting the notion of reception.
